This past weekend I attended The Makeup Show Pop Up Shop in San Francisco, and of course I brought Glamlust with me!
Owned by Shelly Taggar, The Makeup Show is an industry tradeshow event where makeup lovers unite! It’s a complete makeup fest that spans the course of 2-3 days, depending on location. Professionals can network with industry insiders and shop from a variety of cosmetic companies (that offer products at glamlust-worthy discounts). Which makes it the perfect time for artists to stock up their kits!
Attendees can shop brands such as NARS, MAKE UP FOREVER, Senna Cosmetics, Kevyn Aucoin, & Gleam by Melanie Mills Hollywood – the list goes on!
BUT as much of a product junkie as I am, the seminars were THE best part of TMS! Beauty industry veteran, James Vincent (whose clientele includes Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, and President Barack Obama) serves as The Makeup Show’s Director of Education & Artistry, and assembled an amazing lineup of speakers for the show – all seasoned pros with decades of experience. Getting advice directly from those who have extensive knowledge & experience working in the industry is so priceless. I went to almost every panel and thoroughly enjoyed them all! (And absorbed every word)
BTW: I livestreamed some segments of two of the seminars; they are available to view on the Glamlust Facebook page!
The panel speakers included Siân Richards of London Brush Company, Janice Daoud for NARS, and James Vincent.
If you still can’t tell, I had a fantastic Makeup Show experience! I escaped the blazing Sacramento heat for the weekend, stocked up on products for my kit, and chatted with industry pros. . .couldn’t think of a better way to spend the weekend!
Until next time…stay glamorous! xo
