MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour

Who doesn’t love a good matte lip? I certainly do. Liquid lipsticks have been a major makeup trend for a while now, and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Celebrities and YouTube beauty personalities have even started creating their own. The best part? It’s a trend that can be easily obtained/achieved. Sooo many brands offer liquid lipsticks in a vast array of colors – from lower price points to the more higher ones – so everyone can enjoy them :)

The one in particular I wanted to glamlust about today was MAC’s Retro Liquid Lipcolour. This is the best liquid lipstick I’ve tried so far! The texture is similar to a mousse; it’s soft and not sticky AT ALL, which impressed me. Sometimes I forget I have it on! Lol. However, they can feel slightly drying at times (which is typical of mattes), but it’s not a major downside of the product (thankfully!).

The longevity of this lipstick is decent. I can eat and drink with it on, and only have to do very minimal touch-ups afterwards, which is always nice. I also really like the wand; it’s tapered at the end, which allows for a precise application.

GLAM TIP: As I said above, these lipsticks have great staying power! However, the darker, more pigmented colors tend to stain your lips and can be difficult to take off. I always use Vaseline to remove matte shades, and it works like a charm!

Now, let’s quickly talk about the colors!! MAC offers 15 beautiful shades in this Retro Matte collection. Colors range from nudes to dark wines and everything in between, which means there is something for every skin tone. You definitely can’t go wrong with this one!
